I too am very saddened to learn of Fred's passing. We worked together at GMAC (hence his "Adventures" book) for 20 years, and I have many fond memories of the shared laughs and fun times we all had together. There wasn't anybody who did not like Fred - he was such a great personality.
I am a proud owner of his three music albums, each one autographed, and with his signature music staff & notes F-C-B. At one time in the 1980's, he was going to sell his custom-made acoustic guitar to me - then came to his senses and kept it for himself.
I did tune-in to his book reading on CBC, and enjoyed hearing it very much - unable to attend his (earlier) book signing, I now regret not coming, to get a Fred-fix.
Please pass on my sympathies to Monique, for the loss of a great man.
Sincerely, Bev Oryall

I just bought a copy of Fred's book and would very much like to have it signed by the author. I would add it to my Booker collection along with the autographed copies of his records that I obtained when he performed at the first Smithers coffeehouse..."a few years ago".
